Creekview Social Committee just completed their first community breakfast. In spite of the weather, 50 Creekview Neighbors came for pancakes, sausage, and juice. The board wants to especially thank the Social Committee, Kristin McEntyre, her husband, George, and Ellen Manderscheid for all their work to make this a successful activity. Taking into consideration we are a community of 249 families, future activities will only attract more of our neighbors. Needless to say, even given less than ideal weather, the turnout this morning was fabulous.
Next up is family movie night to be held in the pool common area. Details and date are still to be worked out, but stay tuned for more information on this family activity.

As a reminder, Creekview HOA will conduct a mid-year community meeting to be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Cedar Park Library. Meeting will begin at 6:30 PM. Those who wish to address the board will be provided 3 minutes for their presentation. Those willing to address the board should register to do so beginning at 6:00 PM.
To assist parents of young children who would like to attend this meeting, we are asking for some help from our upper middle school or high school residents who might be willing to babysit allowing parents to attend the mid-year meeting. If you would be available to help out by babysitting please contact the board at email@example.com. In advance, many thanks for your assistance.
As the swim season kicks into gear, just a few important reminders. First, please do not let anyone into the pool who does not have an entry key fob. Recently, a well meaning resident, who was asked by two individuals claiming not to have a key fob, to assist them in entering the pool. No one should enter this facility unless they themselves have an entry key fob, and residents are advised not to let non-Creekview residents into the pool facility without being accompanied by a Creekview resident. Unfortunately, these two individuals are not Creekview residents, but rather Silverado. During their stay they threw every deck chair into the pools. This bad behavior has been dealt with, but this should reinforce the need for each of us in the community to take an “ownership perspective” regarding the use of Creekview HOA facilities and services.
The second reminder is ensuring that no one under 16 years of age should use the pools without the supervision of an individual who is at least 16 years of age or older accompanying them. In the case above, not only were these individuals let into the pool area without the necessary key fob, but were also both under the age of 16. There is a signage list of pool usage requirements within the pool common area. Please take a moment to review this list when you next visit the pool.
Finally, it is important that little ones be covered at all times. Parents of little ones should not be allowed to be unclothed in the pool area or pools themselves. With the availability of “pool diapers”, this should not pose an issue, and where it applies, you are respectfully asked to be attentive in this regard. To those parents needing to change their little ones who may have soiled their diapers, presently there is no changing surface within the bathrooms. Effort will be made to soon have these “stations” available for this need.
In closing, a big thank you from the board to Ed Barlow for once again volunteering his time to assist helping complete a maintenance item in the pool area. It is so great to get this assistance, as was also recently provided by a number of “neighbors” with re-mulching the play-scape area.

Brian, Jason, and Tim of the board would like to thank some Creekview neighbors for helping distribute the kiddie kushion mulch delivered to the pool parking lot for distribution under the playscape. Ed Barlow and his grand-daughter, Brynn, Jeff Gifford, and the Bennett’s, Chuck and Kyle, many thanks for taking the time and your “talents” to assist with this project. In total, the “crew” moved 32 yards of mulch from the parking lot to the playscape in just 3.5 hours. A record? Not sure, but suffice to say, many hands, shovels, wheelbarrows, and Ed Barlow’s green trash barrel made short work of this task. This activity gave each of us an opportunity to meet neighbors we previously had not known. Tiring to say the least, but satisfying result; especially saving the HOA over $3500.00 by doing the labor ourselves. Again, thanks to everyone.
A change of date for the month BoD meeting has been made due to conflict with Real Manage Customer Service Advisor. The date was changed from Wednesday, May 24, 2017 to Thursday, May 18, 2017. Time and location remain the same. Residents are welcome to attend. Only agenda items for this meeting may be discussed or addressed by residents. Executive session is not open to residents.
A mid-year meeting for the entire association will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017. It will be held at 6:30 pm, and this meeting will be held at the Cedar Park Library community room. Those wishing to address the board should register to speak before the meeting begins. Each individual who wishes to address the board will be given three (3) minutes to make their presentation. The agenda for this mid-year meeting will be published following the May Board of Directors meeting. You are encouraged to attend this meeting.
