Pond Erosion Work Completed

As many of you saw, and commented on Facebook, work to control significant erosion was conducted and completed by Aquatic Features, our vendor for pond maintenance, yesterday, Friday, July 28, 2017 at the spillway on the north side of the retention pond. In the process to complete this work sections of the landscape contiguous to the play-scape where rip rock was initially placed, and the hillside on the north side of the pond was chewed up. Sunscape, our landscape contractor, will review this area to determine if anything needs to be done. Regarding the north side of the pond shore, this area has been effected by the significant heat even before the work conducted yesterday. The irrigation zone for this area was recently repaired, and it is expected that with regular irrigation and, hopefully, a change in the temperatures this area will repair itself. A review of the area south of the play-scape with be inspected to ascertain if any remediation needs to be conducted. Should you have additional questions regarding this activity please contact the board at; board@thecreekview.com

Play Scape

To all Creekview Residents: It just came to the Board’s attention that there is an understanding that the play-scape is off limits at this time. THAT IS INCORRECT! To our knowledge, the play-scape, like the pool, is available for use from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm 7 days a week. The pool is restricted on Monday only with an opening time at 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm. The Board is planning to install a canopy over the play-scape in the next month or so. For those with young children, you are aware that in the heat of the day, the play-scape can be dangerously hot. In some cases little ones have received slight burns to their skin. The Board asks caution when using the play-scape in the heat of the day until the canopy is installed which will make this recreational site more user friendly. Pool Closing Thursday, July 20, 2017

This coming Thursday, July 20, 2017, the pool will be closing at 6:15 pm with an anticipated re-opening no later than 8:30 pm. This pool closing on Thursday is to permit the Creekview Board of Directors to hold their monthly meeting in the pool common area. As has been posted earlier, the monthly meeting will begin at 6:30 pm, and generally runs approximately 90 minutes. Your indulgence in this regard is greatly appreciated. Should you have any questions or concerns please contact the board at: board@thecreekview.com

July Board of Directors Meeting

Thursday evening, July 20, 2017, beginning at 6:30 pm, the monthly Board of Directors meeting will be conducted. Location of the meeting will be the pool common area. Residents are encouraged to attend, and may comment only on items presented that evening. An agenda will be sent to all those who have registered emails with Real Manage. Additionally, a copy of the agenda will be placed in the community bulletin board located just inside the pool entry door on the right wall. Should you have any questions please contact the board at: board@thecreekview.com

Rodent abatement

All the necessary landscaping to diminish nesting sites for the rodents seen around the pool area has been completed. In addition, bait traps have been strategically situated in four areas surrounding the pool or pool building. These traps are bait traps not spring load, so there is no risk of injury to pool goers. They are also placed deep within the surrounding vegetation, so it is highly unlikely that they will be seen by anyone using the pool. Should you have any concerns please contact the board at: board@thecreekview.com.

Removal of rodent habitat

This morning, Sunscape, has begun the removal of the large rosemary and grass shrubs from around the pool. Speaking with the service representative of Sunscape, he indicated that as they began removal the rodents raced out and headed for the uncut area south of the pool. It is hoped that this initial effort will greatly eliminate their presence. Please direct any questions, issues, or concerns to: board@thecreekview.com.
